How to reset YubiKey to factory default
Yubi keys when returned by users will need to be reset to default settings to remove all pairing to workstation & web for Maddocks internal or web only for gbpo users.
- Download YubiKey manager software (if not in Application Control)
https://developers.yubico.com/yubikey-manager-qt/Releases/yubikey-manager-qt-latest-win64.exe
- Run application and insert YubiKey
- Select Applications, then FIDO2
- Select ‘Reset FIDO’, and then Yes. This will remove all permissions from theYubiKey.
- Remove, then reinsert the YubiKey, as prompted.
- Touch YubiKey, as prompted.
